Abstract
As a basic course in college education and teaching, the novelty and humanity of English courses have become a major source of motivation for cultivating intercultural communicative competence of college students, and an important driving force for building a modern English curriculum system and diversified classroom content. Based on a multi-modal perspective, the article explores and promotes the positive driving effect of a series of interactive teaching modes derived from it on English cross-cultural communicative competence. It is comprehensive from multiple perspectives such as social semiotics and cognitive psychology. Analyze college English teaching and provide a solid foundation for the comprehensive improvement of university students' comprehensive ability.
