Abstract
The “Art Nouveau” movement is an important part of the history of world design, and Henry Van de Velde is one of the most active designers in the “New Art” movement. In this paper, the keywords are actually also used as the subtitles of the paragraph. This setting attempts to use the key words as a clue to the discussion to look at the life of Van De Velde from a variety of different perspectives. The designer and the design situation at that time can be viewed more objectively. At the same time, we can see how the individual designer interacts with society and how the society reacts to the designer.
