Abstract
As a theory of literary criticism, misreading theory was first put forward by American post structuralist theorists. Misreading is not only a misunderstanding of the text, but also a creative act in reading and writing. From the characteristics of language, rhetoric, intertextuality, discourse analysis and the theory of reading and writing, we can see more clearly the inevitability of misreading and the strong vitality of this literary criticism.
