Abstract
British and American literary allusions, as the deep historical accumulation of national culture in western countries, carry the spiritual thoughts and cultural wealth of national history, and are the essence of language with condensed characteristics. The purpose of this article is to study the factors and issues that need to be considered in the translation of English and American literary allusions, and put forward translation techniques and solutions to better achieve the ideal translation effect of English and American literary works. This article first briefly summarizes the source of allusions in English and American literature and the translation methods of allusions. Based on this, by issuing questionnaires to students of English and American literature majors in a university, we need to pay attention to the issues of translation And related strategies for investigation and research. Among them, 97.54% of students think that the overall problem of the article needs attention, cultural differences, language correspondence and the source of the allusions are also prominent issues in the translation of allusions in English and American literature. This paper proposes suggestions from cultural differences, cultural connotation correspondence, the integrity of the article and the translation method, in order to better realize the appropriate translation of allusions.
