Abstract
As a suburban site, the site of Han Chang’an city contains plenty of public settlement such as villages and communities. The process of the application about the Silk Road for World Heritage and the final success has witnessed the great change of the relationship between the site of Han Chang’an City and the residents. Through the investigation and study of the present situation of the Han Chang’an city, it is found that the relationship between the residents and the ruins is not optimistic. In view of this, it is suggested that the contradiction between the residents and the protection and development of the site should be alleviated by improving the environmental infrastructure, improving the management level and promoting the display and utilization of the site.
